Patience with the Old

Patience is a beauty. Not everyone has it. My mum challenged my patience all the time.

Today, she was so keen on seeing the photos taken this early morning when we send YL off at the airport but i was quite reluctant to show her on the computer cos i'm lazy (ok, bash me up). Wasn't in the mood to show her but she's insistent about it. So i got fed up and i ask her to handle the mouse herself and click on all the images that she wants to see.

Just a plain simple action of DOUBLE CLICK to select is a painstaking action for her, i realise. It can be considered an achievement to be able to use DOUBLE CLICK to open the file. Eventually, i gave up. I teach her the easier way of opening and closing files, using keyboard. She loves that.

"Aiyah... Long ago should teach me use these buttons rather than this stupid mouse lah!"
"How i know?? Now you know how to browse liao right?"

The teaching process isn't really easy. They keep forgetting the procedures. You've got to be by their side and repeat and give "warnings" here and there. I suddenly feel bad venting frustrations at an old lady who's trying to learn how to even hold and move the Mouse. Technology is moving too fast for these folks... I've got to be more patient with them as they grow old, just the way they were being patient to me when they were teaching me when i was young. =)
